Playing the Irish Lotto is an easy alternative to buying a ticket when you are located outside of Ireland, allowing you to enjoy a game that would normally be unavailable to you:

Pick six numbers from 1 to 47. Select your own from the grid or select a Quick Pick to have a random set generated for you in an instant.

Fill in one panel for every set of numbers you want to play. Some online services might make you buy more than one ticket at a time if you are playing from outside Ireland

Choose how many draws to enter. You can enter just the next draw or subscribe to never miss a draw. The subscription options are for one month or three months at a time and will enter your numbers into each draw in that time frame.

Odds And Prizes

To win the Irish Lotto jackpot, all six of the numbers you pick must be the same as the six main winning numbers in the draw. A Bonus Ball is also drawn from the remaining 41 numbers left in the machine, helping to provide seven other ways to win apart from the jackpot. The remainder of the prize fund (15.8%) is kept in reserve and used to pay for the minimum jackpot of €2 million. As the prize structure is pari-mutuel, the value of awards in each tier varies from draw to draw depending on the number of tickets sold and the number of winners.

There is no rollover limit in Irish Lotto but there is a jackpot cap, which currently stands at €19.06 million. Once enough money has been added to the jackpot to meet or exceed this cap, no more money will be added to it in subsequent draws until it has been won.

In the meantime, the funds that would have gone to the jackpot will instead be allocated to the next highest prize tier with winners. Once the jackpot has been won, the cap increases to the amount it reached.
